This week God has been speaking powerfully to me through this text:Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
It is from Colossians 3:23-24.
I can be very impatient, perhaps not with others so much as with myself; sometimes the missions I'm on are more mine than God's and what I am realising is that with the next two years of studies I just have to work hard and live in the present moment, equipping myself for the ministry I'm involved in now and not always thinking about how it might work to equip me for the ministry I hope to be involved in in the future. God knows what he's doing and I need to sit more peaceably in his hand rather than constantly trying to tug at his little finger.
