Today's image competition
It's the weekly competition for Christian reflection on an image.
Entries need to be written up in less than three sentences and they need to be about the Christian life in some way.
Winners can display this badge on their site.
Our last winner was Gill of Churchianity.
It is hoped that the ideas will be used to develop part of a scheme of creative prayer station ministry resources.
Ordained Anglican. Thinking out loud about church.

Refiner's Fire.
"He's got the whole world in his hands." But things are getting a bit hot to handle, and that's not just about global warming. Let's pray that it won't be soon that "the earth and everything done in it will be burned up" (2 Peter 3:10).
PS You have been doing a bit of your own Christian (?) reflection of the image, a right-left inversion. Was that deliberate?
Oh dear - thanks Peter - not 'deep', more 'dopey' I'm afraid! Have flipped it in the right direction now, I'm sure I could have thought up something metaphoric but best to just come clean!
To humanity it appears that our world is in crisis; but God holds each of us in his hand. His will for us is to refine us, to remove our impurities...only then can we be what he wants us to be.
1 Corinthians 3 v11-15
the fire of God's presence is not primarily to destroy or consume, it is to purify, sanctify and to make the whole cosmos glorious.
and it is the cross that ensures the whole of creation can 'stand' through this process.
