Bishop of Durham Tom Wright now making dramatic intervention for adjournment. He said he has always argued that now, a week before Lambeth is a 'bad time' to have this debate. 'One of the most annoying things Paul did was in the middle of the storm, say told you so we should never have come. What we are going to do is break bread.' He said synod should adjourn, meet at 7.30 in the morning to break bread together and pray that they come safely together to land.
